THE STRAIGHT STORY

Red Clay Cache TCG was built out of frustration. I’m Cayne, a 37-year-old collector and player from Dudley, Georgia. I got tired of the usual secondary market headaches: cards sold as “Near Mint” that show up looking like they survived a weekend of kitchen-table drafts, scalper markups that price regular collectors out of the hobby, and sellers who don’t actually play the game swearing something is “pack fresh” when it clearly isn’t.

I started this shop to do it the way I wish it existed. Every single card is conditioned strictly to TCGPlayer’s official standards using their points system. No guessing, no “close enough,” no subjectivity. When I say Near Mint, it meets Near Mint. Lightly Played or Moderately Played means exactly that, with the wear called out. You can see the full breakdown on our Conditioning Standard page — I even put the official TCGPlayer guide up there so there’s zero mystery.

Right now we’re focused on Pokémon — both vintage and modern — across English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean. Neo-era favorites, 1st Editions, holos, and the hits from newer sets. We also keep some sealed Pokémon product in the vault when we can get it at reasonable cost. For Magic: The Gathering, I’ve got a selection of 2014-era cards from my original collection, and we’re actively working to bring in more modern MTG. We’re also looking at adding Lorcana, One Piece, and Riftbound as we grow the shop.

Here’s the honest part: we don’t have wholesale distribution yet. That means we source from personal collections, careful retail pulls, and trusted channels. Prices end up a little higher than the big distributors with direct lines — I’m not going to pretend otherwise. But we’re not scalping or price-gouging either. We’re trying to build something sustainable here in rural Georgia without ripping people off. Fair market pricing for properly conditioned cards. That’s the deal.

Red Clay Cache TCG is a registered Georgia business with a valid EIN and we collect and remit sales tax on every applicable order. This is a real operation, not a side hustle flipping cards out of a closet. Everything ships fast from Dudley, GA with proper protection — penny sleeve and team bag standard, upgrades on higher-value cards.
